Hi Friends,

I was saved decades ago, but it was not until some ten years ago that I embarked on this journey of cultivating spiritual growth. I grew up going to church, but stopped going in my teens. I prayed occasionally when I wanted something, but mostly lived according to worldly standards. About 12 years ago, I looked in the mirror and for the first time, saw who I was—a bitter and angry person in a horribly wrong relationship, materialistic and full of false pride. If I thought I was a Christian, my lifestyle was certainly not reflecting that identity. That was my awakening. I became uncomfortable with the way I was living, so I dusted off one of the Bibles I had acquired over the years and started to read. Friends, it is not enough to be a baby believer or a lazy believer. We are each planted for the glory of the Lord with the commission to produce fruit and to do good works.

In Luke 22:32, Jesus tells Simon, "...when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers". When I turned back, I was hungry for resources to support my growth and I believe that there are others who also want to become more like Jesus but just don't know how to go about it. That's why we started this blog site.

Each blog is a lightbulb moment from time spent in the Word, when areas needing growth were illuminated and the Holy Spirit provided discernment in that moment on how to navigate life's circumstances with faith and hope. I am passionate about inspiring and helping others to cultivate what matters most by highlighting Biblical truths, sharing insights about growing up and pointing you to additional resources to further your understanding.

My prayer is that these resources will help us go deeper, renew our minds and encourage us to activate scripture in our lives. My mission is to become stronger in faith and to grow up from a milk-drinking believer into an Ambassador of Jesus Christ. Please join me and let's grow together.

Sincerely,

Elva
